Secure Transaction?????

Postby PolarisDemon » Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:05 pm

I downloaded the Photo Morpher v3.01, and when I went to the activation page, I did not see the little "Lock" Icon indicating a secure connection.

I've always been told that you do NOT want to send credit card and/or personal information over a page where the "Lock" icon is not indicated.

Is there any other way to purchase this activation code either VIA Phone, or a secure web page???

Thanks,
PD

Our purchase page https://www.morpheussoftware.net/morphe ... rchase.php is in fact secure. You can tell from the https:// vs http://
The lock icon should appear in all modern web browsers, as well as any other effects such as the background of the address bar turning yellow in Firefox.

What web browser do you use, what version is it, and what operating system are you using?

I'm using IE 7 Ver 7.0.5730.11, on a windows XP Professional OS.
Talked with the IT guys here and they are on it...... I went ahead and made the purchase, knowing I was OK with the https:// address.

Thanks for your quick reply!!!!

That's the exact version on the machine I am on right here and I see a lock icon to the right of the address bar, just past the [v] button you can use to get a list of recent things you've typed into the address bar, just to the left of the Refresh button.

Do I HAVE to tell the IT guys here I'm an IDIOT??????

I thought the lock symbol appeared on the bottom right of the window, but sure as hell, there it is right next to the address line.....

Aren't these the days that you just LOVE being on a trouble desk?????

I apologize for my incompetence, and humbly beg forgiveness for wasting your time.......

I'm off to take the IT guys some doughnuts now *hangs head in shame*

Helpfully for you, Microsoft changed the location of the lock icon between IE6 and IE7. It was at one time in the past, if you used older versions of IE, in the bottom right corner of the window.
