Newbie question

Postby ColMac » Mon Dec 10, 2007 4:17 pm

Hi guys I'm a registerd owner, but I've only made a cople of morphs previously.

I'm trying to create a morph to use in Pro SHow Producer. I'm creating a "Wild West Wanted" poster which will be portrait, and I want to use the morph AVI show in a mask in the middle of this poster. The visible part of the AVI will also be portrait.

I have my two images set up as jpgs, and I've cropped them from originals to 800 pixels wide by 1200 pixels tall.

The morph itself worked perfectly, and the preview plays exactly as I want it to.

When I come to output it however, the images is stretched horizontally and looks horribly distorted.

I'm in the UK, so I want to output to PAL, and output to as high a quality as I can. I used the DV codec.

How do I ensure that I get the AVI looking as I want it. (and indeed as the preview showed it. Do I need to resize the original image to 720 x 576 by using a plain background? or can I not just output what I have in the format I want?

I hope this makes sense, and that I've included enough info.

Thanks

Colin

What is the size set to in Timeline options? If it is 800x1200, the DV codec may be forcing the stretch to the 720x576 size. Try a different codec and it may work better for you.

Thanks.

I tried the uncompressed AVI first, and it worked perfectly. Huge file but that's not an issue. So thanks a lot.
