rendering

Hi,
I just bought the suite today. I use a MAC, OS 10.4.10. The program won't render at all. It morphs in Preview, but not when I try to render. I am using a Power PC G5

Do you get an error or other message? What revision do you have of the program? Click the Get Info option on the program to see the full version.

Hi,
I am using the Suite 3.01 standard.
In all the programs, when I try to use Flash I get a general error from Real Player.
When I use animated GIF, in the morph and warp programs I get a GIF of the starting picture -- no animation. In the photomix program I get a still mixed picture with no animation.
By the way, when I used the demo the warp program worked fine (I didn't try the others).
And also, even though I can't render in the morph and flash programs, I seem to be able to send a working animation via email in both flash and animated GIF, but not for photomix.

The suite is one single program which combines the functionality of the 3 separate programs. You do not actually get 3 separate programs if you purchased the Suite.

It sounds like you are rendering to a GIF or SWF file, but then having trouble viewing those files in other programs. Check what program you are viewing the GIFs in, perhaps it does not support animation? Try dragging the GIF to a web browser like Safari or Firefox. For SWFs, Real Player may not be the ideal program to configure your Mac to play SWFs in. Again, they may play best in a web browser with the official Flash plugin.

Hi,
If I remember correctly, when I was using the demo I had the choice of a quicktime format when I rendered. This worked fine and I was able to save to a quicktime mov file. Since I purchased the program, when I render I do NOT have a quicktime option. How can I get it back. I don't think I would have a problem if I had the quicktime option.

Quicktime output is one of the features shown in the trial version which is only available in the Professional edition or higher. You can upgrade from Standard to Professional for the difference in prices by selecting the upgrade discount from the purchase page on our website.

rendering and looping

Postby jerryk » Tue Sep 18, 2007 10:04 am

Hi,
Thank you for your prompt replies. I now realize that I thought there was a problem with the morphing because, as I said in an earlier post, I was able to use quicktime when I tried the demo. So when I couldn't do it after I purchased the program, I thought something was wrong. I do have one further question. I'm opening my morphs in the browser. Using Options in the Timeline menu, I've set the looping for only one loop. However, it runs indefinitely both for gif and swf files. Am I doing something wrong or can I not control looping when I'm opening the files in the browser.
Again, thanks for your help.

It can depend on what program is playing the file, but typically SWFs behave correctly as long as the flash plugin is loading them. Animated GIFs should behave correctly in a web browser as well. Some movie-type programs or other programs like PowerPoint don't listen to the loop setting in the GIF file, and will play it forever, so that is possible, depending on the program which you are viewing the file in.

looping

I'm using the Safari browser, but it doesn't respond to the loop settting that I set in the Options menu.

In our tests, Safari should obey the loop settings. Try re-rendering your morph to a new GIF file or redownloading and reinstalling the latest version of Morpheus from our website.
