Fade Selected Dots functionality not working

Hi,
I think there were some previous posts on this topic but there was never any solution that worked.

I have the Morpheus Photo Mixer professional version and I would like to use the Fade Selected Dots functionality.

From the samples that are provided such as the baby and the dog, and Kate Bosworth and Orlando Bloom, it works perfectly. However, when I try it myself using those jpg files, it doesn't seem to work. I have followed the tutorial a dozen times and it just doesn't work.

Has anyone been successful in this? The only way I can see it working is if I use the sample layouts that work and then import my own pictures and rearrange the existing dots.

All you have to do basically, is select some dots and then pick one of the 3 options from the fade selected dots menu for which picture or blend you want the image to come from.

Yes, I must have done that 30 times where I have my 2 jpg files in the start and end and I add dots around the mouth of my start file and adjust the end file accordingly. Then, I choose "Select Dots", highlight the dots around the mouth and use the "Fade Dots" option. It doesn't matter what I do. If I choose Start, the preview screen just shows the Start file. If I choose End, the preview screen just shows the End file. Nothing changes.

Well, if you are selecting *all* of the dots at once, and putting them all to be faded to one picture, then yes, the result would basically be that your "mix" is entirely the same as that one picture. You want to selectively fade some of the dots to one picture, and leave others faded as the default (blend) in order to see a noticeable result then.

What do you mean by selecting all the dots? I have a specific set of dots that I placed around the mouth of my Start picture. I choose Select Dots, hold down my mouse button and drag square around the dots that are around the mouth area. At this point, the dots that are only around the mouth area are flashing as well as the corresponding dots on the end picture. At this point, I am choosing the "Fade Selected Dots" option and choosing Start or End. It doesn't matter what I choose, the Start or End picture will show up in the Preview window.

Is there something special that needs to be done during the selection of the dots that need to be faded?

No, that is all you need to do.
I assume then you have other dots on the picture which you are NOT fading at all then.
Are you using Mixer or Animation Suite? If Suite, are you using a Morph or Photo Mix?
What is the Photo Mix Amount set to in Morph Options? The default is 50.00.
