Restoring the original window layout

Postby emmrecs » Fri Oct 20, 2006 2:57 pm

Hi.

I've only recently bought and installed Morpheus Photo Animation Suite 3 Professional so am still finding my way round it.

When I first ran the program the layout of windows (Start, End, Timeline, Preview) was ideal for me. However, I have somehow subsequently changed the windows layout but would very much like to return it to its "original" state. Despite my best efforts I have not succeeded. Even uninstalling and reinstalling did not restore the original layout.

I'm sure I'm missing something very obvious so any help would be much appreciated.

As a matter of interest, under the "Windows" menu item virtually all options are permanently greyed out. I am particularly curious to know what the last item, "windows", actually does.

TIA.

If you want to quickly reset the entire program back to the defaults, you could just delete the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Morpheus Software\Morpheus Photo Animation Suite" but the best way is to simply drag the windows and panes back to where ever you want them.

Some of the Windows menu commands don't apply if window tab with groups is enabled. You can select a different option under View/Window Tabs and read mroe at http://www.morpheussoftware.net/morpheu ... -and-panes

Thanks very much Ark for answering my question so quickly!

I deleted the suggested Registry Key and everything is now back as it was.

I did try to move and resize the various windows but the problem was that the Preview window had become floating and, despite my best efforts I could not get it to return to its initial position alongside the "Start" and "End" windows. I resized the Start by dragging its right hand edge towards the left and then the End left hand edge moved with it and expanded sideways and I could not work out how to drag its right hand edge towards the left and so reinstate the Preview window.

Anyway, problem solved. Once again, many thanks.

There are a couple different ways to re-dock a floating window pane. The easiest is to simply doubleclick the pane's title bar (where it says "Preview").
The other way is when you drag the pane around, you will see little buttons which you can drag the mouse over to dock it in different spots. The buttons look like:

There will be 4 individual buttons at the edges of the screen and that group of 4 or 5 buttons in the center area, which all give you different choices of where to dock the pane at. That center button lets you dock the pane ontop of an existing pane (such as the Timeline window) and will create two tabs to let you select the panes.
