Question

Gamer's Internet Tunnel, formerly Gamer's IPX Tunnel

Question

Ok, me and a m8 have been trying to connect to each other to play games via GIT, although it says in GIT "accepted" dose this mean we are connected to each other.

Also dose GIT require a lan to be setup between 2 pc's at each end for this to work or can i setup a lan game on my pc and have a friend join it from his pc elsewhere?

If GIT says connection is accepted for TCP listen/connect, that means its connected. For UDP-UDP, its meaningless, UDP is always "connected".

GIT doesn't require anything at all for your LANs. You just tell GIT what you need depending on your configuration and what you need GIT to do.

Ok then so we are connected.

I dont suppose you know the port number/range for NFSU2?

Port range of NFSU2 is quit hard, because everyone tells you other ports.

We notice activity on port 9999, but NFS/Support/readme.txt says, that port 9999 isn't important.

Well using TCPview it looks to be 9900 although there is around 20 tcp proceces for nfsu2, they range from 1356-1360 and 9900-9999.

are these sounding right?

We tried to enter these into the port range but we still cant see each other :(

I had problems finding out what ports to use to.
For me typing "netstat -a -o" in a dosbox proved realy helpfull.
you can see what ports are being used by what program.

each proces has a ID number wich corspondes with the PID in your taskmanager. dont forget to put on PID view in your Taskmanager though.

About ports:
Me and friend succsessfully played NFSU2 LAN over internet !!!

We both used just ports: 80 and 9999
It works.

I'm now solving how to connect third person.
When I connect two persons to my GIT they cannot see my NFSU2 LAN server :/

Two person play = no problem at all!
Just use UDP - fastest orption and forwart TCP/UDP ports 80 and 9999

My mate and I have been tryin to play NFSU over GIT, but we still can't get it to fully work. we've forwarded port 213 on TCP connect, TCP listen and UDP - fastest. Under forward which TCP/UDP ports, we've selected all below GIT, well-known ports, and all the rest.

We can see each others server but when we try to enter it, it gets stuck on 'connecting to lobby'. I know everybody has had similar problems wid this. How do we fix it? Screenies would be nice too :D
