render quality is poor

Postby David0208 » Wed May 23, 2012 8:56 pm

I imported a number of portrait photos (3x5, 1148x1722 1.2mb) for a sequential morph. After doing all the work and rendering, the quality of the .mov file looks poor when playing back in the quicktime player. The timeline options were set to width=172, height=240, quality=100, render speed=1, frame per second=30. The render settings are compression type=h.264, frame rate=60, key frames=automatic, data rate=automatic, compressor quality=best, encoding=best quality (multi-pass). Also, how can I extend the length of the total morph without sacrificing quality? Please advise, thank you

p.s. I am bringing the resulting .mov file into Adobe Premier. When in Adobe Premier, the size of the photo is extremely small. Increasing the image size only pixelates it further.

If you want to render to a size larger than 172x240 pixels, you can adjust that size in the Timeline Options window.

If you want a longer morph, just increase the number of frames in the morph in the Morph Options window.

I now have the same problem, even when I start with images that have enough pixels. I start out with images of about 1000 X 600 pixels - that look decent on my screen. Then, when I put those numbers in under "Timeline Options", I am still getting a morph that looks pixelated. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :( GDW
