Using G.I.T with internet cafés

hey im having a little trouble at the min with G.I.T .
I am running git at 2 internet cafés both of these internet cafés have 10 mb down and 768 kb up internet connections and fully working versions of g.i.t .
The problem i seem to be having is when i have 5 or more people from café1 in a server that café2 has created it seems to lag out very badly.
this happens with most games including cod4,cod2,css and most other games.
i have G.I.T set up on server computers in both cafés with the first café on 1.0.1.* :255.0.0.0 and the second on 10.10.0.* :255.0.0.0
Any thoughts on what might be a better set up or the configuration with much apreciated .
