Hi, i am on a univercity network, and currently use a http tunnel, but this proves to be a pain in the ass for games, as i have to use Socks 5 vetion of UDP. Anyway, i noticed in order to use GIT you need to have both LAN's configured using the same subnet mask, i'm connected to the uni server, but in order to access the network i need to dial-up via the univercitys vpn, otherwise i can't do anything, my port tunnel works fine going through the telnet port 23, i need to know, the other persons network, does it need to be set to the subnet mask used by the windows vpn, or the one used by the router that connects me to the main network? or the subnet mask which is used by the port tunnel, i can connect through my http tunnel, using GIT set to use socks 5 perfectly fine, i can send packets, and recieve packets ok, but i cannot ping the other network due to the subnets being different, please advise, and if i make no sence, try to help anyway  , thanks.
