After downloading and installing from Broderbund, I get:

Error #52 opening file!
?
Bad file name or number

This happens when trying to open the beginners file and when trying
to open normal nothing happens. I have reinstalled three times without
any success.

What version of windows are you using, what service pack, what language settings do you use, what country are you in, what other software do you have running at the time?

I am using XP home,Service Pack 2,English language pack, Country-USA

Thats not exactly what I was asking, but it is interesting nonetheless. What tool did you use to generate that information?

Any chance you can uninstall completely FreshDevices and Symantec AntiSpam to see if either of them are causing the problem?

I am getting the same ERROR #52 message when trying to open the beginner mode, also the normal mode does not respond when trying to open it.

I am using Windows XP SP2, English, UK and am not running any other programs when trying to do this. Uninstalling and reinstalling has not redctified the problem.
