I just bought the app, have uploaded some .gifs but the transparency is lost on import.

How do I put my images on a transparent background?

Thanks!

Transparency is preserved, but not shown directly in the picture windows. You can morph the entire alpha channel with the Professional edition or higher.

I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly sure what you're saying. When I import into Flash my image is on a white background when I would like it to be transparent.

Does this mean that I'm importing it incorrectly into Flash, or are you saying that I need to upgrade to have the transparency feature.

Thanks!

What file format are you rendering to, and have you checked the option in the Timeline Options to morph the alpha channel?

I was rendering it as .swf and no I hadn't checked the timeline options. I'm just starting to use it. Must confess I haven't read much in the instructions. It seems very intuitive but I thought that if I need to upgrade to get the transparency option that I would want to do that first.

I couldn't find a lot on the website that explains the difference between the levels.

The editions are outlined on the product's individual about-pages such as http://www.morpheussoftware.net/morpheu ... /about.php

Yes, thank you I found that page but since I don't know the application much of it is still greek to me.

I tried selecting the transparency option for the alpha layer but it would not keep the selection. Every time I go back in, it is unchecked.

You would really help me out a lot if you would just tell me that I can achieve a transparent background with the standard version, or no, I need to upgrade to the Professional version.

This was already mentioned in this thread; morphing the entire alpha channel (which is where transparency information is) requires the Professional edition or higher.

Thank you. I didn't know what the Alpha Channel was so it was not clear to me. I will upgrade.
