Is the output resolution limited to 320x240? No matter what resolution I choose when I export to QT, the resolution remains very very low, and the picture become highly pixelated if I choose a high resolution output.

You can set the size to any size you want in the Timeline Options window.

Thanks! Got it.
One more question.
The resulting morphing has pretty bad posterization. Is there any setting that could improve that?

How does the image look in the Preview window before you render it? Posterization may be the side effect of the Quicktime codec or codec settings.

Preview looks good! Posterization only shows up after exporting. What format would yield the highest quality?

A series of still PNG images would be the highest quality that is guaranteed. Quicktime with a proper codec should produce very good quality as well. It all depends on the codec you select and the options for that codec though. MPEG-4 and H.264 based codecs are the best in general.
