2 LANs, Able to See, Unable to Join

Postby MaverickHunterX » Mon Jan 23, 2006 9:01 pm

We have been successful with connecting:

1 Lan User and 1 Non-NAT and no router

We figured this out by using the Loopback adapter and had success. However only the LAN computer could connect to the Non-NAT. The non-nat was unable to connect to the LAN.

With 2 LANs, TCP Connect and Listen, No conflicting subnet mask or Internal IP ranges.
computer number 1: 192.168.0.100-192.168.0.110
Computer nubmer 2: 192.168.0.111-192.168.0.125

D-LINK 524 - comp 1
D-LINK 624 - comp 2

Advanced Config:

Forward which IPv4 protocols?

TCP Checked
UDP Checked
ICMP Checked

Also Match Source Port Checked

Alter Source IP: Checked, Internal Set to internal IP , external to external IP

Forward ARP Checked (Without this checked I cant connect to the Non-Nat's Server)

NetBIOS and IPX Checked...

Neither of us can ping each other on the 2 LANs, yet we can see the game

DMZ is enabled on 215 on both computers, for all protocols.

Attempting Need For Speed most wanted

Thanks in advance....Nice prog Ark

Network Spy says:

Source: 192.168.0.111 (PC 1) Destination: (PC 2 WAN adress)

Source: (PC1 WAN address) Destination: 192.168.0.100 (PC 2 LAN)

Both are trying to route ICMP packets but fail, TCP and UDP packets forward and receieve just fine...
