Me and my friend tried git today. However, my friend couldn't even start the program, because packet.dll was missing. I sent it to him, but it didn't work (obviously). Both have WIN 98 SE and GIT v0.96. The game we were trying to play was Abuse. www.abuse2.com  Should the dll file be added to the GIT package or is there some other way he could get it?

Thank you.

Packet.dll is part of the WinPCap library. You must install WinPCap and reboot before it will work properly. GIT comes with WinPCap v2.3 which should work fine.
You can also download a newer version of WinPCap from their website at http://winpcap.polito.it/install/default.htm -- it looks like the newest version is currently v3.0 which you can download directly from http://winpcap.polito.it/install/bin/WinPcap_3_0.exe although GIT was only tested with v2.3
