Starcraft over internet

Postby linus » Sun May 01, 2005 7:44 am

Hello. I'm so new to this so this question is probably already answered just that I don’t really know where to look…

We are two people on our a private network that would like to play StarCraft against a friend in the other side of the town. Both networks are behind a router. How do I configurate the GIT to work. Do I need to run it on the three computers or is it enough to run it on two?

Run GIT on two computers--yours & across-town computer. In each router, port-forward 213 UDP to the GIT machine. Connect GIT to each other's public (internet) IP address using UDP port 213. Under Advanced config, check 802.2, Ethernet II, ARP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, "Also match source port." Under GIT Configuration, forward TCP/UDP ports 6112-6119. Run starcraft, using multiplayer UDP.

Patch starcraft..

Hi!
There is two things that should be noted:
Please patch starcraft, otherwise it will not have UDP support, only IPX...
Download path @ http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=msc0411p.
Another thing is that one of the machines should be configured to be a server. This is done under configuration.

Good luck!
