it would be great if git checks with a simple ping or something,
if there are servers online without starting a game,
so then you can see if you favorite server is online without starting the game,

next thing is it would be great if git can remember your server list,
in a ini or txt file or something,
now i have to input every server manualy,
every time i start git,
and also if i start a server and later i stop the server then
all my server addresses are gone and i can start over again input the servers ip in the list,

also consider a chatboard inside git so that people easily can find each other in git and chat to each other to play there favorite game,
becouse now people can only find each other trough message boards and irc,
and also then it is possible that git shows on the messageboard or next to a online username ore something if a person has a server running so that others easily can login without asking each other if they have a server running,
i think if all this functions are in git, git would be very popular.

You can store settings into config files using the wizard feature in GIT 0.99 BETA 4

GITs purpose is not to be a chat program. Use ICQ or AIM if you need to.
GIT does not know anything about games and will not be pinging servers or anything. GIT is simply a network bridge to join LANs together. It is the users responsibility outside of GIT to ensure that the LANs and games are set up properly and that the players can communicate prior to starting the game.

Not really. GIT is so generic it can be used for anything. It is really just to link LANs together and forward only selective traffic.
The only thing it knows of games is the port lists. It doesn't know game protocols or anything.
