PLEASE, help me with a problem with Git

I installed a version of Git-099b3. When I started the program there appears a sign saying "Failed to set device to promiscuous mode" and GIT doesn´t work. When I uninstalled it and installed a new version the problem reappears. This problem had never occurred prior to my installation of this version.
I would be very thankful if you could give me some advice.
