I'm at my wits end.

Ok here's the setup.

Server

Server (with GIT) --> Freesco Router --> Internet

Port 21000 TCP Listen

Eth II
Forward ARP
ZLib Comp
TCP, UDP, ICMP
Also Match Source Port
Don't Send Routable

Client

Port 21000 TCP Connect

Client (with GIT) --> Freesco Router --> Internet

Eth II
Forward ARP
ZLib Comp
TCP, UDP, ICMP
Also Match Source Port
Don't Send Routable

No I can ping but it gets worse with each signal. MS double each time. Till I can't get a ping. If I go to configure and just hit OK then I can ping again till it times out again (usually on the third signal).

I can also see my game but can not join. TCP seems to be the only way to get it to ping. UDP is doing nothing at all. I can sometimes get the game to show, most of the time not.

This is the Unforwarded from my Client

[Tue Feb 01 01:04:09 2005] network: hw:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xxEthernetII IPv4 TCP to:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:21000 from:192.168.0.40:2514 'wrong port number'
[Tue Feb 01 01:04:09 2005] network: hw:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xxEthernetII IPv4 TCP to:192.168.0.40:2514 from:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:21000 'wrong port number'

I'm at a loss here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The game I'm trying to get working is Sacred.

1) Use GIT 0.99 BETA 4
2) Use UDP connect on both sides of GIT
3) Wrong port number means in the config window, you aren't forwarding that port. That is GOOD that you aren't forwarding the GIT port 21000.
4) You must absolutely make sure that your IPs do not overlap if you are setting GIT up like this, and you must make sure you are on the same subnet. If you are 192.168.0.0/24, the other side must be as well. You also must not have any conflicts like if your router's IP is 192.168.0.1, the other person cannot use 192.168.0.1 for anything on their LAN.

Sorry I should have been more Detailed.

I am using .99 Beta 4.

Server setup is

Server (192.168.0.5) --> Freesco Router (192.168.0.1) --> Internet

Client (192.168.0.40) --> Freesco Router (192.168.0.9) -->Internet

As stated in the first post, UDP barely works. I can get the game to show sometimes. TCP has been the only one with some success.

What other devices with IPs exist on each LAN? Nothing can have an IP conflict.

UDP will work better then TCP unless you have issues with your routers not forwarding the UDP port to GIT properly.
Tunneling through TCP is not a good idea unless you cannot avoid it.
