I've been trying quite unsucessfuly to get Sacred to work with GIT for the better part of today. I've just noticed that my Nic card does not show up in the selection drop menu. Instead I get this.

0 - \Device\NPF_(GUID) (PCI Bus Master Adapter (Microsoft's Packet Scheduler))

My Card is a SOHOware 10/100 PCI Network Adapter.

Any ideas? :roll:

It's just NIC, not NIC card :)
Do you have more then 1 NIC, or any other device that may be listed?
Are there any other devices listed other then number 0?
That device is obviously something in your system, and hooked to the PCI bus at that, so its either onboard or in a PCI slot.
Perhaps 'SOHOware' is just a really generic brand and their driver reports the card as 'PCI Bus Master Adapter' and that really is your NIC.

I guess it is my NIC as after some configuring I've managed to get the game to show up, but I am unable to join it. Any thoughts?

No there were no other choices just device 0.

My setup right now is as follows

Server (GIT) --> Freesco Router --> Modem

Client (GIT) --> Modem

Does the client need to be on a Lan? I presume it does, but I don't have another router to try this and my friends are computer illiterate.

I can see the game but I time out trying to join it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
