GIT for Dos?

I know it sounds silly, but is there any way to port this very useful gadget to work in DOS? I love the 1996 Game M.A.X. and it just runs best under Dos. After I finally managed to get an IPX Socket ( is it called that way? i dont know ) in DOS, having a gadget like this would just be the ultimate triumpf :D

I have no plans to port it to DOS, but you don't need to run GIT on the same computer as the game. You can have 2 LANs with 2 computers each, and have DOS + the game on one computer and GIT on the other computer running Windows on each LAN. It should work just fine.
