Its in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Git
Create it if it doesn't exist, REG_DWORD, 0-based index of capture devices

I created a new reg_dword and labelled it device. Is that correct? I tried setting it to 0, 1, and 2 but no difference :S

I currently have winpcap 3.0

Yes, that is correct, assuming you created it in the exact location specified where all the other GIT options are. That controls which packet device GIT tries to open at startup. That may not be the cause of any freezes from winpcap though. You may want to try the uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot and try the latest winpcap 3.1 beta and GIT 0.99 BETA 4.

Alright, thanks. Got it working again now :)

Now to answer the question before...
"you must list at least your own host and one other."

I put my external IP into the box where it asks me to (at the top of the wizard window) and in the bottom box I put the other person's IP.

Am I supposed to be putting my own IP into that bottom box as well?

edit - alright I did that... and well I can't test whether it works at the moment but it looks about right. My own IP isn't listed in the config, which you said was correct, so I guess that's it set up?

2nd edit - Well we tried it, without any success. Spent time looking at logs, managed to figure out more specific settings - ethernet II, RIP. Still not quite working though. =/
