A Few Simple Questions

1) Is this supposed to work for any LAN gaming over the net? If not, has anybody gotten it to work for Far Cry?

2) Does UDP forwarding work for the LAN gaming or would TCP be better to use when playing games?

3) Is it bad to set all ports to forward, or should I try to select only the specific few for the games I'm going to be playing?

*edit*
4) Anybody know a good walkthrough or tutorial on setting up a WinXP VPN at home? I can probably figure it out, but it would be nice to have some help.

5) Should I check the "Alter Source IP (for NAT)" if one of the computers is connected to a simple router used for internet sharing? (I already know I have to connect to his real IP and set up the router to send packets to his private IP on the port I use, port 213) And if I am supposed to check it, only on the routed network or the non-routed computer as well?

Thank you for any answers you can provide!

1)From what I read on quite a few guides, yes.

2) UDP is faster than TCP, but harder to pass through certain firewalls.

3)Well a good idea would be to use the log function, log the ports the game is using, and then switch to those ports only. That will save you from broadcasting traffic thats useless thus slowing you down.

Google is your friend.

5) I dont know.

You might want to have a look at the readme file, its pretty descriptive.
