Choppy gameplay

Postby CalliduS » Mon Oct 18, 2004 3:34 am

Just wanted to say that we have been getting some choppy gameplay while on link. Its fine if there is 1 game hosted and feels just like LAN, but when a 2nd game is played, either the same game i.e WC3 or a different 1, things go to pot.
We played a 5v5 (5 from each LAN) game of WC3 and at the same time there was another little game of WC3 playing (3 players). Also there was a small internal game of DoW playing with about 4 players.
The 5v5 game was totally unplayable, with big pauses and then speedups where the game was catching up. Also the 3 player game was jumpy but not as bad.
Just wondering what the limits are for GIT and does internal games also add a load to GIT ?
Both connections are ADSL but pings were fine between each other LANs external IPs and also to an online server.
Can GIT handle all this traffic ?

GIT can easily handle all the traffic. Its just a matter of your upload connection speed and how windows decides to drop packets when things become congested.
