GIT / Starcraft

Hi there, just wanted to say that your GIT software looks great (only just downloaded it), and Im really keen to try it out with Starcraft in the next couple of days.

I was wondering whether people had any hand tips for configuring Starcraft, or is it pretty much a standard fare, forwarding UDP port 6112 traffic etc?

cheers,

Setting up Startcraft for play behind a Nat router

Postby RedNight » Fri Jan 23, 2004 10:23 am

this works for me
set git to forward ports 6111 and 6112 on both sides
use alter IP for Nat and set both values inside IP and outside IP

one side acts as a TCP server at 213 (or whatever port you want)
this side must also have port forwarding turned on and forward ports
213 plus 6111 and 6112 to the inside machine running as server

The client side must have it's router forward ports 6111 and 6112
to the local client machine

Then in advanced config
look into frame types Ehternet II is checked

Foward which IPX packet types
IPX is checked

Forward which IPv4 Protocols
UDP is checked

Also make sure that the look at frames on which device is set to your network card installed on your machine
DO NOT USE (Ndis_Wan) one's as they caused my machine to bluescreen and they will not work anyway

Stop and restart the tunnel after these changes and it should work
Mine does
