Please select a different one under Advanced Configuration options.

Whenever I start GIT it displays twice this error message. What does this mean ? In Advanced Configuration options "Look at frames on which device ?" is empty. There is nothing I can select. I have sweex ISDN modem. Give me some clue please ...

Wait a minute ... I need ethernet adaptor ? My old asus motherboard doesn't have built in one. Is it the only thing I have to buy, I have ISDN modem and my friend has 56 dialup modem. Which ethernet adaptor
is 100% compatibile with GIT ? Is D-Link or Sweex ok ?

You dont necessarily need an ethernet adapter. You just need a device that is compatible with WinPCap in order to capture packets. It all depends on how the driveres are written for whatever device you are using. Generally 100% of ethernet cards work. Some people report modems work, some don't.
There is another thread where somebody mentions how to set up a dummy network in Win2000/XP that you can use to capture packets from and still connect GIT via your real internet connection.
