I can't find any of the four log files. All of the logging types are checked but even windows search can't find the logs anywhere. In which phase should they appear there?

Log files appear in the current working directly, which could vary depending on how you set up your GIT shortcut. Sometimes check C:\ or C:\Windows but ususally C:\Program Files\GIT
You have to actually have traffic being generated to put lines into the logs.
