Need a hand with GIT configuration

Postby Uncle » Fri Oct 17, 2003 3:09 pm

My connection is through LAN:
[My Internal IP] -> [Servers Internal IP] -> [Servers External IP]
The question is:
How to connect with the servers external IP to recieve packets from it? I know that my StarCraft games are visible on the list of games, but noone can get in, 'cause the packets are send my servers internal IP, not mine!

You aren't really providing a lot of information about what you are trying to accomplish here, but if GIT is running on an internal IP you need to likely set up a port mapping on the server (not something GIT can help you with obviously) and tell GIT to translate your external IP to your internal IP in the advanced options. If the other end of the GIT connection is not using NAT, it would be far easier to run the game server on that end and set GIT to use tcp listen/tcp connect to connect to the other end.
