GIT & Red Alert 2

I would like to ask forum-goers if they have ever setup Red Alert 2 to work with GIT, to tunnel RA2's IPX Packets over the net...
Also, I am a programmer, I write 3D engines for games, and wouldnt mind working on something like this, primarily because I love Red Alert 2, hehe...
