will the GIT source code ever be released to the public?

i'm only curious because i've recently started up a project for allowing the i.link on the ps2 to connect to a pc via firewire/usb and the connect to other players running the same program. i'm also curious what languge did you use to program GIT?

GIT is all straight C, no C++, and the source code will most likely never be released. Sorry.

sigh..... it was worth a shot. oh well, guess i'm on my own.
