Joint Operations is working great with GIT.

Basically you need the server to run GIT as a TCP Listener, forwarding ports 32768-32xxx (i'm not sure how high JO uses). Clients connect to the server's IP using TCP connect, forwarding ports 32768-32xxx.

I not sure that information is entirely accurate.

I think you have to forward TCP/UDP ports 32768-65535 in CONFIGURE.

We seem to get a lot less disconnections if you do this.

Joint Ops uses a random port in that range.

hi guys. im having no luck getting this to work with these settings. my friend and i are both on cable and behind routers. we have both forwarded port 213 in router cfg and set up git as specified with the higher port range. i am trying to serve a play and serve and he is trying to connect and cant see any lan games. im running win2k pro with all service packs etc and he is running xp pro (i think, not sure but it shouldnt mkae any diff should it?).

is there ports to fwd on my router that i missed? or do i have to set the clients ip in my git somewhere?

what should i look for in the logs that could help us, or someone else to solve our issue?

thanks for any help.

Here are the ports that the full version of Joint Ops uses for internet gameplay.

You will need to open ports 32768, 49152, 64206-64211 and 7597 (all UDP, not TCP ports) in the port forwarding ranges. You'll also want to make sure that you have the latest firmware updates to your router.

I entered all those ports into GIT and now we don't get disconnects.

To pirates who may be using GIT: Buy the game! It is worth it. You can't know how much fun a 100 or 150 person game is.
