Hello,
The main problem - connection looks like working, I can see all packets but my card is not receiving packets from GIT (I think)
This is the situation I have
PC1 - XP
IP 192.168.1.2, gateway 192.168.1.1, mask 255.255.255.0
PC2 - Vista
IP 192.168.1.50, gateway 192.168.1.254, mask 255.255.255.0
No IP conflicts occures.
WinPcap and GIT on both PCs - newest
Port 213 UDP forwarded from both routers to LAN IP's.
Firewalls off.
Checked in Advanced conf. are
IEEE 802.2
IEEE 802.3
Ethernet II
Forward ARP
ICMP
In Configuration all I did is added public IP of friend's router with 213/UDP port.
The same at other side (my public IP used).
Connection status is UP.
Now, when I try to ping my friend's private IP, I can see in wireshark,
that my packet is going out (from my private IP to his private IP), and
is coming in! But ping says "timeout".
I really can't understand this. I can see in logfiles in forwarded
and incoming sections that tunnel is working, but for some reason my
ethernet card is not taking his responses.
If he tries to ping my IP, I don't see in wireshark any packet....
When I did try with TCP connection (after checking TCP in adv. conf.
and proper port range in config.) I did see his packets coming in,
but with wrong checksum.
What is very strange - I can ping router (LAN IP, 192.168.1.254) at his side!
I would say - something at routing table at his side, but in this case
I wouldn't see answer from his IP on my ping.
Any idea what could be wrong? I tried to change winpcap to 3.0 - nothing.
regards,
Sierp
