Atomic Bomberman on GIT via IPX

Postby djlabat » Mon Sep 29, 2008 4:33 am

Me and my frend traying to engage Atomic Bomberman via GIT using IPX.
In GIT our configs are:
config:

Host or IP: his WAN (on my config), my WAN (on his config)
port number: 213
Metod: UDP
Forward wich IPX sockets: 6445 (I read, on this forum, that is the IPX sockets that AB uses)
forward wich TCP/UDP ports: 217-65535 All the Resst

Adv Config (cheked):
IEEE 802.2
Ethernet II
IPX
UDP
Alter Source IP (for NAT): nothing typed in

In the Routers we add our WAN-s on NAT betwen each other with port 213
On my Router:
External Port Start
External Port End
Internal Port Start
Internal Port End Protocol Server IP Address
213 UDP 10.3.10.120 (his WAN)
On his router, all is the same but he uses my WAN on NAT

We install on winXP IPX protokol with Frame Type 802.2

On my Connection Status (in GIT) I see this:
93.86.118.52:213 (udp) - UP since Mon Sep 29 12:07:24 2008
last packet received from 93.86.118.52
last packet forwarded at Mon Sep 29 12:06:10 2008

His Connection Status:
77.46.226.187 (udp) - UP since Mon Sep 29 12:02:56 2008

Whay we can't play AB over IPX and GIT. Wher is the problem?

??? Possible problems:
Hi, can't forward/receve packets from me.
My WAN is very variable (his not)
We are not using the same ISP

Can somebody help us, please. Thnx forwrd

Hello
First, have you made AB work yet?

One thing I notice is "his WAN address."
are you sure that is his address?
On my Router:
External Port Start
External Port End
Internal Port Start
Internal Port End Protocol Server IP Address
213 UDP 10.3.10.120 (his WAN)
On his router, all is the same but he uses my WAN on NAT

That 10.3.10.120 is a "Private" address.
Make sure you are using his proper WAN address... go to http://www.whatismyip.com (you and your friend)
Fill in his IP address in the config Host/IP, and he fills in with your address.

Personally, i've had trouble with WinXP IPX protocol.
I can't do anything with IPX on my LAN.
I have tried some different frame types but I only see a lobby in the games. I used to have good success with IPX but something is wrong now.

Making use of both a Virgin Media (Cable) and BT (ADSL) broadband connection at the same time? I have a Virgin Media cable connection that has been providing a broadband connection to my home network of 6 PCs. I have recently added a BT ADSL connection that also could provide the broadband connection via a BT Home Hub. I would like to use both WAN connections and load balance them.
