Internet through LAN

Postby Dando » Sat May 08, 2004 6:15 pm

Hello!

I had no problem using GIT between two dial-up connection, but one of my friend has net through local area network (and he is not the one who shares the internet). His ip is like 192.168.0.20 in the LAN, but totally different from outside. We tried with and without altering source IP, but no luck so far.

Help would be apreciated about settings for this type of connection in GIT. Thanks.

sounds like the GIT port you are using is blocked on his side maybe. he know the one who shares the internet? he'll need to get in contact with his network admin or whoever has the sharing computer to share the appropriate port(s) if you want a UDP connection, BUT if you are running a TCP server, then all he has to do is connect to your TCP server.

might want to give more details on what part doesn't work and what you are trying to do exactly
