We tested again now to minimize the used bandwidth as it was lagging when we were playing with 4 people (2 on each LAN)...
actually you only need ports 2005-2010 and in advanced options to check broadcast only. Now it was working very good. There was also some bandwidth left to use the tool picophone for talking.

Depending on the bandwidth it could also be a good idea to lower the connection speed in Sacred from LAN/DSL to ISDN.

GIT Server Setting : Ensure you are running LAN Dedicated server . GIT does not work well with Local Area Network Game within the standard game.

1) Click Configuration

2) Tick the option : Be TCP Listen Server ...............

3) Forward with TCP/UDP : Add the following 7064 and 2004-2010

4) Click Advance Configuration.

5) Select the apporiate Network Card in the device section

6) Enable TCP/UDP/ICMP at the "Forward which IPV4 protocols" section

7) Disable "Only if Broadcast"

Now Run GIT. Your Server is Ready.

Connecting your Client.

1) Key in your IP
2) Choose Port Number
3) Choose "USING METHOD" TCP Connect
4) Click Add
5) Forward with TCP/UDP : Add the following 7064 and 2004-2010 and 65535 (If this dosnt' work use 214-65535). I found that sometimes after connecting, I cant seem to see the "start button" Highlighted. Disabling and Enabling GIT helps at times. Also going back and front from that point.) Sometimes waiting solves it also.

Client configuration done.

Start up Fire Away you ready to rumble.

Automation aint a crime so why do you ban us from games?
Stop using the computer if u hate automation so much.
Can't blame me if I put the brains and computer to work.
This digital divide was made by yourself by being stupid!

After 2 days of trying, possibly all the settings on there with
quite a few combinations...
Sacred is not working..

We can see the game on each other's ends...
We were using the dedicated server as suggested too,
didnt make a difference.

Could anyone that has succeded in setting up a sacred-connection
help out?

I could give out my msn if such would be possible.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have the same problem - tried everything as described here, forwarded every port, and I can see the other game - but I get a timeout when trying to connect. I even tried out a combination of GiT, battle.lan and/or VPN, but still I cannot connect :(

Any ideas left?
thx...
