Problem with GIT, Sacred, and working behind 2 NATs

Postby Rasia » Tue Apr 06, 2004 10:04 pm

Both myself and my friend are behind a NAT. We have configured GIT to forward the relative ports (2005, 2006), but have tried every combination of altering source IP, broadcasting, etc.

The game is normally routeable over the internet, and with just broadcast we can see each other's games, but cannot connect. However, my friend has in his unforwarded logs an attempt to connect to my internal IP address (instead of my external, which would then get forwarded correctly).

We both have the Alter Source checked with our internal IPs in the Internal Hostname, and our Numbered External IPs for the external, but his computer continues to insist on trying to connect to my internal.

Any ideas?

sacred uses 3 ports for dedicated server. dunno about listen but i bet its the same. run the dedicated server to see

also make sure you have the 3 ports open in the servers firewall and see if that works
