well i read and supposedly you dont have to do anything but have the adapter selected? but still, we can make the TCP connection. i forward packets, but i never receive them and nothing works over this connection.

hmm, i just can't get it working. i have a laptop next to me now connected to the internet through a pure dialup connection to sbcglobal.net he can connet to my TCP listen, but we can't communicate after that.

i read other threads, but they dont go into specifics. the laptop has an ethernet card. can you not do TCP/UDP over dialup connection since both dialup connection and ethernet card need TCPIP? even so i tried IPX with ipx disabled on the dialup, and no go.

ok i got IPX to work between the dialup and my broadband connection. but TCP/UDP games wont work. is this because i can't disable TCP/IP protocol in my dialup connection, so then my ethernet adapter's TCP/IP can't take over?
