Hi---I`m back again. Sorry to be such a pest. Somehow I have turned off the tool bar with the "fade selected dots" button in it. Will you please tell me how to gain access to the proper tool bar so I have "fade selected dots" back again. Once again I thank you for your help and your patience. ---Davey.

Under the View menu, select Toolbars, and there is a list of all available toolbars. By default, typically only the first two (Standard and Tools) are showing, and the rest are hidden (Three of the hidden ones are actually "copied" to the preview and timeline windows though, so they are fixed showing there instead).
