Is there any way to make a morph more smooth...like going from the 1st image to the second and then the 2nd back to the first and so on? Kinda hard to explain, but I think you'll know what I mean...

The smoothness is likely the result of the frames per second (fps) setting. More fps will result in a smoother morph, but the duration will be shorter. Increasing the total number of frames will increase the duration of the morph, but also increase the file size of the movie you render.

Right now the sequence is pic 1 to pic 2 and then back to pic 1.

Can it be made to go like this:

pic 1 to pic 2 pic 2 back to pic 1

This way it would be a smooth transition back and forth without jumping back to pic 1...

Just check both Back and Forward for the render direction.
