That is quite a funny error message. Funnier that it is generated by Windows and not by Morpheus. The error code is WSASYSCALLFAILURE which means it looks like it is related to Windows Sockets (internet).
What OS are you using?
Did you receive any errors during installation?
What 3rd party internet related security/scanning type programs do you have installed?
You havn't uninstalled IE related files with 3rd party utilities have you?

Wow what fast service..............
I'm using XP home.
No errors while installing. Only when trying to put in my activation code do I get the message with the error code.
I have Norton anti virus installed. I have Norton firewall installed. I also have the new Microsoft antispyware installed.
When I installed morpheus I disabled all of the above and made sure there were no other applications running . I did the ctrl alt del to get to that point.
I'm not sure I understand the last question ? sorry

control+alt+delete and terminating programs (particularly types such as antivirus and firewalls) can be very bad for the system. You can probably close or disable them through less drastic means, if its even necessary for installation. You would have to try installing again with the programs running, but it doesn't matter now, the program seems to be installed just fine, but something is blocking inernet access. It could be the firewall, or any of the other programs you have listed there. Try disabling them temporarily (not terminating them) one by one and see if you can activate with one particular program disabled.

I think I was misunderstood. I disabled the anti virus and firewall through their disable process by clicking the icon in the task bar. I used the ctl alt del to close one other program that was open.
I have a program called start up cop. I temp. closed all the programs that start up on my computer. I rebooted and tried the activation again. Still the same error message. I don't know about how or what I can close more in the processes window in task manager. I have 29 processes going ? I'm unsure what I need and what I could close.

do you think if I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it with all my stuff above closed it might work ?

You can try, but I do not think there is anything wrong with the installation. It won't hurt to reinstall Morpheus of course, but the problem really seems like something is interfering with normal internet access. The error returned by Windows is highly suspect because it is an error messsage that is probably never supposed to happen, but yet it does, which means some program is confusing Windows by blocking internet access. Perhaps the program still continues to function even though it is disabled in the task bar. Can you set a per-program "allowed" list in any of the programs such as the firewall, to tell it to allow Morpheus to the Internet without disabling the firewall insetad?

I will look through the firewall program and make sure it allows me to go to Morpheus. Its not blocked me in the times I have gone to the web site so far. Thanks for all your help.
I might try some scans and see if I can find anything else that is interupting me from activating.
Is the trail program going to limit me as far as what I want to do until I get this problem fixed ?

Some firewalls block based on the application, so while it may allow your web browser access to the internet, it may still not allow Morpheus access.
The trial will expire after a few renders and you will no longer be able to render morphs until you activate.

Hi Ark.
I'm back again. I hope I am posting in the right place.
I finally got it figured out what my problem was and why I was getting an error 10107 in trying to activate with you guys.
It was an internet porn filter I put on the computer for the kids. I contacted the vendor and temporarly uninstalled their program. I started morpheus and went to activate my program and got the message : The code you have entered has just been used recently. please contact support if you think this is in error. Now that I can get your activation it appears that I'm getting stoped on your end ? Any ideas what to do ? Thanks, dougbug

We can take care of that, but we will need your activation code, which you do not want to post here for all to see. For now, you can just email
support@morpheussoftware.net and they will be able to get you up and running.
fast return on question
