Morpheus MOV files not seen by final cut pro

I can save morpheus morphs as gif sequences that FCP can import, but it does not recognise the Morpheus .mov format. Please see screen shot

Quicktime files created by Morpheus are created by the Quicktime interface, and use the options and codec you select. If other programs cannot open them, odds are those programs couldn't open any Quicktime file created by any other program with the same codec and options either.
