What do the numbers in the morph option box "photo mix amount"
field control and what are the consequencies of using low or high
values

It is the amount between the two images to mix. If you use 0% the image will be pretty much exactly like your Start picture box, and if you use 100%, the image will be like your End picture box. 50%, the default, blends them evenly.
