Pixelated morph

Postby kathyz » Mon Jun 01, 2009 11:05 pm

I scanned and cropped about 24 photos and morphed them successfully and then imported the morph into iMovie. It all looked good on the little screen. When I burned a disc and showed it on a large screen, the pixelation was extreme. How large a file can be imported into the Morph picture box?

TIFF files were not accepted, so I saved everything to JPEG. I would like a much better final product on a large screen. Can you help?

If rescanning the photos in a different size is called for, I'll do it, but want to make sure it will be accepted by the Morpheus software.
thanks, kz

Morpheus can read normal TIFF files, unless they have some newer/different compression. The size of your pictures used is independent of the size you set the animation to be in the Timeline Options window though. You may want to increase that size to match.

When I saved my scans as TIFF, they were rejected by Morpheus. Can you give me some idea of what size the TIFF should be to be accepted?

No bigger than 32767x32767. The issue may be what compression the TIFFs use, or if they are actually even TIFFs. You could send an attachment of one such TIFF to the support address using the link at the top of this page. They may be able to find out why it can't be loaded.

Wow that is really more than the default of 320 x 240. I will try it tomorrow and let you know how it works . Thank you.
