v3.11 is not released for Mac OS X and thus there is no direct Youtube upload feature available yet for OS X. Also, the Mac version does not render to AVI files, but can render to Quicktime files instead. The same idea applies though, Youtube would want those Quicktime files to use an MPEG-4 based codec. Luckily, there are built-in H.264 and MPEG-4 codecs included with OS X, so you do not need to obtain 3rd party codes to get the best quality Quicktime files. You can also still upload these Quicktime files to Youtube yourself, using the regular pages on Youtube's website.
