Light Pen

Postby Brown Hen » Thu Jan 15, 2009 3:47 pm

Is it possible to use a light pen to draw the dots during a warp which would I hope yield a smoother and faster change ?

If yes! where do I get a compatible one and software to run it ?

I guess that depends on how the pen operates and if it functions like a mouse. If you can use the pen to "click" when you want, then it will most likely work just fine with Morpheus.

Light Pen

Postby Brown Hen » Sun Jan 18, 2009 8:33 am

Is there such a thing as a light pen that performs like a real pen. That is one that automatically clicks every time the pen is moved so that I can draw a
caricature of a face, like in a Pinocchio cartoon, then morph from the real face to the redrawn face.

Thanks

Light pens are kinda archaic, and aren't very accurate. Wacom (check out www.wacom.com) has a whole line of digitizing tablets, though, and they appear to the system as another mouse-like input device. I have one and it works great.

Be aware, though, that for many drawing/animating activities, a mouse actually works better...
