I have v3.01 Professional and an using a 10.5.5 MacBook Pro. When I try to render an AVI file the process starts but never completes. After a couple minutes when I try to open the file I get the message below.

"Operation could not be completed. (OSStatus error -1.)"

What am I doing wrong?

Are you rendering to uncompressed AVI, or are you rendering to an AVI using the Quicktime path?

I am rendering uncompressed AVI. I don't know how render to an AVI using the Quicktime path.

Does this always happen, even if you create a new blank layout and try to render it to an AVI that would just be all white then?
