awkward results when morphing 2 dishes

Hello,

I'm trying to morph some images of simple kitchen dishes (plates, bowls, etc) to generate a set of intermediate "ambiguous" stimuli for my psychology experiment. However, the resulting morphs look very unnatural. This is very possibly due to something I'm doing wrong (this is my first time using morphing software), even though I've tried to follow the basic instructions and guidelines for adding dots, etc. But I'm not sure, I can think of lots of possible causes for the lack of success (e.g., perhaps these kinds of pictures just aren't suitable?), and I'd really appreciate any suggestions/explanations/etc. You can see the morph1.aml file and the 40 intermediate morphed images for the pair I tried at http://www.lel.ed.ac.uk/homes/cyp/experiments/morph.

Thanks in advance for any help.[/url]

Perhaps you simply need to place more dots, or use the line tool to connect dots in specific ways to define the edges better.
