I get some unwanted artifacts when I have some free-drawn-lines that are pulled further in a subsequent frame. What's happening is that lines from the triangles that are automatically rendered are then crossing my lines, causing the artifacts.

My question is--can I delete individual triangles? I want to be able to selectively control those triangles--that is, I want to select individual lines from those triangles--specifically the ones that intersect with my drawn lines--and delete them.

Is this possible?

Triangles are created automatically by the dots/lines and can't be deleted, since new ones would be created. You can make lines in different directions to manually set all the triangles though.
