Error Message: "Failed to load the picture" [SOLVE

Hi,

what can that be? These are jpgs, 362x442, RGB, 8 bit, working on a Mac (I tried some other gifs, they work).

Thanks for any ideas

I found the reason for the error message. The images were in a (sub)folder which contained a German Umlaut 'ä' in the folder name. After I moved the images to another folder it worked.

The files may be corrupt or a format which is not supported, such as JPEG-2000.
