Easing morphs in and out

Hi,

I have multiple images that morph after each other. Now I would like to ease the speed of the morph in and out between the images, is that possible?

Thanks!

You can adjust the number of frames in the morph as well as the time to hold still on the ends of each morph from the Morph Options window. You can also change the frame rate in Timeline Options.

But I can't vary the speed in bewteen pictures, during the morph?

You need to be more specific with your question. You should be able to fully control the "speed" of each morph, but "speed" is measured in frames per second. You can change the frames per second of the entire timeline and you can change the length in frames of each morph on a morph-by-morph basis.

Could you please explain to me how I can change the frames per second morph-by-morph?

You can't do that. Frames per second is for the entire timeline. You can change the total number of frames in each morph which correspondingly change the length in seconds and apparent "speed" of each morph though.
It wouldn't make sense to have an animation that randomly changes from 10fps to 30fps to 5fps as it plays.

In the Timeline you have "Morph" above each transition/image, click on the word Morph - then to Morph drop down - to Options. Change the top number,"Frames in this Morph" to 60 for instance. That will "hold" the morph for 5 seconds at a frame rate of 15. :)

Easing in Animation

The term easing refers to gradual acceleration or deceleration during an animation, which helps your animations appear more realistic. You have this type of control in many video/animation compositing programs as well as Flash.

It doesn't appear to me that this capability exists in Morpheus yet. Maybe sometime in the near future.

I believe I know what you are trying to do as I have worked this out for myself.

Under "Morphs" choose "Options." At the top, you will see "Frames in this morph." The higher the number, the longer it will take to morph from one picture to another. . . "Length of this morph" gives that time in seconds. You can enter a number in either box (but be sure to click on the one you don't enter in to make sure they correspond and "take").

Below this, you find 2 options, "Frames to hold for at start" and "Frames to hold for at end". . . once again, with the times shown to the right. With these settings, you can appear to pause a picture before the next morph.

Just try playing around with these settings until you understand them thoroughly and get the affect you want.

Hope this is helpful.
