Bought cd but can not activate

I bought the cd right from the site, but when I installed it I got first the error message the code was for a different software program. So I tried it again then it said the code had been recently used, contact support.
I have contacted support and they keep taking me in circles until I was pointed here. If anyone knows why I am getting this error message and then on how to fix it... your advise would be greatly appreciated. :D
